For a country that loves interior design - just count the magazines and TV programmes dedicated to the topic in the UK - we do seem to have a distinct lack of blogs dedicated to interiors...
At least that's what I wrote when Hygge Nook first started out. Since then I've stumbled across numerous gorgeous, inspiring blogs with talented writers showcasing home made crafts, shops, decor buys, independent designers and so much more. I couldn't be prouder to be part of that community and you'll find many of my favourites blogrolled in the sidebar.
Here at Hygge Nook, you'll find me blogging about inspiring spaces, design talent, stylish home accessories, whimsical products, 'make & do' challenges including my knitted and crocheted homewares. You'll also find notes from my life including my travels and where I've been shopping.
Not only that but I want to talk about living. It's all very well looking at great homewares and decor but living well is all part and parcel of a great lifestyle so look out for blog posts on thrifty living, family life, eating and going green as and when the mood takes me. I hope it will whet your design appetite and contributes towards making your happy home.
PRs and other friendly folk: Do feel free to contact me about your products - I'm happy to receive on topic press releases - or just say nice things to me in the comments. I'll probably say nice things back. In fact, let's hug!
However, what Hygge Nook doesn't do is any kind of paid editorial. If I've tried something out that is PR provided, I will make it clear in the post.

And what is hygge?
Hygge is a beautiful Danish word that embodies the things we feel makes a home. It's family, cosyness, a feeling of belonging, of your eye finding beauty in every corner and so much more. You can find more about what hygge is at Denmark's official website.
